Dr. Jacqueline Garonzik Wang receives the Alfred Blalock Research Award

Congratulations to Dr. Garonzik-Wang on receiving the Alfred Blalock Research Award, a big accomplishment of recognition from Hopkins.

The Alfred Blalock Research Award recognizes a faculty member who by their effort has contributed to the research distinction and accomplishments of the department.

Congratulations to Dr. Garonzik-Wang for her appointment to the committee! This committee developed the Transplant Accreditation & Certification Council to assist with the development of the certification pathway and program accreditation.

Dr. Macey Henderson Receives Johns Hopkins Catalyst Award

The 2019 honorees—selected on the basis of their accomplishments to date, creativity and originality, and academic impact—will each receive a $75,000 grant to support their work over the next year. They also will have the opportunity to participate in mentoring sessions and events designed to connect these colleagues at similar stages in their careers.

Dr. Jamilah Perkins Receives NMRI Travel Award

Congratulations to Dr. Jamilah Perkins, who recently received a travel award to participate in the 2019 NMRI Annual Meeting in Bethesda, MD. The primary mission of the NMRI is to encourage minority health investigators to be researchers in fields of interest to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, including diabetes, endocrinology, nutrition, kidney, urologic, and hematologic diseases.

Dr. Macey Henderson Appointed to The Alliance’s Council

Congratulations to Dr. Macey Henderson on her appointment to the Alliance for Donation and Transplantation’s Leadership and Innovation Council for a 2-year term. American Transplant Congress 2019 Recap


June 1-5th over 30 members traveled to Boston to represent ERGOT at the 8th American Transplant Congress. Over the course of four days members gave 31 talks and displayed 33 posters.
